The story behind JourNote.

The Problem

As a software engineer, my work was scattered everywhere: Linear issues, GitLab MRs, Slack discussions, and endless Google Meetings. When it came time for performance reviews or even just a weekly sync, I spent hours digging through history just to prove I was productive. I wanted a place to quickly jot down what I did each day — but every tool out there was either too heavy or too complicated.

The Solution

I wanted a tool that would act as a "passive collector" of my professional life while making it dead simple to add daily notes manually. Something that would quietly sit in the background, gather the breadcrumbs of my work, and let me capture quick thoughts with zero friction — then present it all back to me in a clean, searchable journal.
